My Pledge to The Muscular Help Foundation

Posted on March 31st, 2003

“I will act as an Ambassador for The Muscular Help Foundation in promoting this pole2pole challenge in aid of muscle disorders including Muscular Dystrophy to friends, family, schools, the local community, business associates and companies worldwide.

I understand that this unique pledge will be presented to the British Government at No.10 Downing Street in 2004 in the form of a petition related to the ongoing ‘Right To Survive’ campaign set up to persuade the British Government to increase funding for research into finding cures for muscle disorders including Muscular Dystrophy, one of the biggest genetic killers of children in our world today.

The Right to Survive Campaign is based on the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, adopted by the UK in 1991, which states that the Government commits to the right to life, survival and development of children.

The Muscle help Foundation call on this pledge in order to give children the right to survive into adulthood.”
